SONY TABLET P

Along with the Sony Tablet S, Sony brings another exciting tablet to market with its Sony Tablet P model, a completely different device than its brother product – and from most anything else out there today. The main difference - a clamshell shape that opens up the Sony S2 into a pair of 5.5” screens.

The negative side to this concept is of course obvious, with most traditional apps unsuited for the Sony Tablet P’s double screen and a few nearly unusable in the format. The option to work in a single screen is always extant, however, and for programs such as Google Maps and some games, the double screen can actually optimize results by giving two views or separate views at once. Sony has loaded the Tablet P with software designed specifically for the tablet, including an P-specific ebook reader, multimedia player and a Crash Bandicoot game.

With the Sony name backing up the Tablet P, users may expect (and receive, happily) high-quality audio and video performance plus top speed in doing so. The 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 microprocessor fulfills these expectations nicely and the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system works quite well in general.
