In 2007, following a search for a laptop case that went in vain, stylist Harris Elliot ended up creating his own leather satchel. Perhaps he never imagined that the admiration and applause it received from clients, colleagues, and friends would eventually prompt him to develop a full collection. But that is what he did, and in 2009 H by Harris was born to design and produce a line of carrying solutions to fit electronic devices and so much more.

Any of this company’s handbags, rucksacks and totes could accommodate any number of tablet computers, but they have created two specific form-fitting designs, the “GQ Pad” for iPad, and “GQ2 Pad Strip” for iPad2. These two limited edition H by Harris iPad cases were created in collaboration with GQ in order to coincide with the launch of the GQ iPad App. Priced $310 and $300, each is styled as a cushy leather tablet case with zippers, and includes a cardholder for functioning as a tablet portfolio case.

The inspiration for the launch H by Harris reminds us of another company we like, Saddleback Leather. Each began with a leather satchel, but where Saddleback delivers vintage style, this company’s designs are sleek, modern and trendy.
