LENOVO MIIX 3 8

Lenovo has just given the go-ahead for the launch of the Lenovo Miix 3 8 and thus brings the third generation of its low entry-level tablet with Windows 8.1 on the market. The Lenovo Miix 3 8 starts first in China and is introduced there for almost 190 euros. But you get a fairly decent-equipped compact tablet.

For starters, the former 8-inch screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution have been replaced by a 7.85-inch IPS screen with a 1024 x 768 resolution display. So a lower resolution, but also a different aspect ratio, now at 4:3. This is significant, and it should go down well with customers, since this is the aspect ratio of the iPad mini as well.

While the Lenovo Miix 2-8 has an Intel Atom Z3740 processor, 2 GB of memory and up to 32 GB of internal storage, the new Lenovo Miix 3 has rather similar specs: Intel Atom Z3700 processor, 7.85-inch IPS display, 2 GB of memory, as well as an unknown amount of internal storage. Probably the most attractive part of this new slate is its premium-looking aluminum body which also offers enhanced shock resistance next to the stylish looks and the great feeling it provides when held.

Thanks to a 15 Watt-hour battery, the Miix 3 8 can go on for up to 7 hours of use, not bad for a Windows tablet by any means.
