MAYLONG UNIVERSE M-150

The low-cost Maylong Universe M-150 is a bit of a disappointment beyond the price tag. While Maylong’s device may be the very cheapest of all 7” Google Android tablets at many outlets, this is definitely a case of “you get what you pay for” in most aspects from screen to application support.

The screen of the Maylong Universe M-150 is of low quality, standing up to nearly no punishment and scratching easily. Though outwardly resembling an Apple iPad , the M-150 console contains just two buttons and use of what should be simple functions will prove to be somewhat counter-intuitive for most users. Maylong has also muddled with the standard apps and icons within its Android 1.6 operating system, which will add to the confusion for those accustomed to Android standards.

Specs in the Maylong Universe M-150 include Ethernet connection adapters, two USB ports, and low power WiFi. Unfortunately, the list of amenities the M-150 doesn't include is far longer: no bluetooth, no cellular support, and no support for Google Mobile apps. Battery life is a shocking under-three hours.

Quite frankly, the Maylong M-150 is difficult to recommend to any user, as this product seems to be a rush job put into stores quickly to cash in on the tablet explosion. The M-150 is one example of price not meaning everything.
