Archos 101 Titanium

Archos upgraded its line of tablets in early 2013 with the release of the 101 Titanium, a tablet that improves upon a few key features of the device’s last version and carries an incredibly low price.

Remaining in the 101 Titanium tablet are Archos’ characteristically nice display complete with an integrated stand – a handy and unique feature in the tablet itself. The 10” touchscreen’s resolution is a bit behind the cutting-edge displays of, say, the Archos 97 Titanium HD, but the 101’s 1280x800 is an upgrade from the well-outdated 1024x600 display.

Things on the inside of the Archos 101 Titanium have been kicked up a notch as well: The 1.6GHz dual-core processor with quad-core graphics processor now incorporated into all recently-released Archos tablets is a notable improvement and the operating system is Android 4.1. The front-facing webcam has been joined by a rear camera, but most other specs have stayed the course into the 101 Titanium, including Bluetooth 2.1 and 802.11 Wi-Fi support plus ports for USB, mini USB, micro SD cards (which can boost the standard 8 GB internal memory to up to a new-high 64 GB) and HDMI.

And the price on the Archos 101 Titanium is so incredibly low as to be the main selling point for the device: At under $200 suggested retail, few tablets can match this Archos’ technology for the price.
