Like so many devices, quad-core tablets are improving and getting cheaper all the time. New to the market is the Acer Iconia Tab A210, which comes in at less than £250 and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. While it doesn't really offer any outstanding features, it’s still a solid, decent device – all powered by a Nvidia Tegra 3 chip.
The Acer Iconia Tab A210 isn't slim or light, either. At 712g and 12.4mm thick, it's a chunky beast that'll give you forearms the size of thighs if you try and hold it one-handed daily.
The 10.1-inch IPS LCD 1200 x 800-pixel screen on the Iconia Tab A210 looks paltry at best. It comes with a pixel density of 149ppi, which means that you’d easily see jagged edges around icons and pixelization in general.
As well as some half-decent speakers, the A210 comes with a very handy USB slot - something that will make life very easy for those who download a lot of video.
While the A210 is a perfectly useable device, it doesn’t have the wow factor – and that screen does let it down.
