At first glance, this seems like just another Hello Kitty case with an interesting, distinctive pattern design. But further inspection reveals a surprisingly sturdy case that provides the iPad Mini some generous all-around protection against bumps, dings, scratches and even a few light accidental drops. Polyurethane makes up the exterior, which has a nice smooth touch and is resistant to scratches and water. The cover opens and closes with the satisfying click of tough little discreet magnets that also provide auto sleep/wake function. Inside is a flexible rubber shell that wraps the iPad Mini back and sides to hold it firmly secure. And the shell has all precise cutouts to keeps the tablet fully operational while encased. For tablet stand modes, the rubber shell slides easily over to rest on the grooves marked on the folded-out inner cover base. The user can prop the tablet in a variety of viewing angles, ranging from approximately 45° to 80° in landscape format.
