Although the Colorware Grip case is light on features and offers very little for the price tag attached, the simplicity and comfort it provides are a bold attraction. The large variety of customised colors available for the handle grip, frame and back is very appealing. And the Grip 3 is made with highly durable aluminium and fiberglass material which still feels very lightweight to carry. The grip handle is useful for easy display and also for carrying the tablet around while travelling. This makes it easy to use your tablet one handed. It is missing one thing though; a foldout stand would have been a genius feature to include and could have made this grip case highly desirable. Without this, hands-free use of your tablet is nearly impossible. The major concern with this carry case is the lack of protection it offers while your tablet is inserted into the frame of the case. Like any basic tablet shell, the Grip 3 still leaves the iPad display exposed. And even though the case is extremely durable and resilient, some surface damage may still occur with certain accidental drops. In summary, it seems the Grip 3 is ideally meant to be a professional solution mainly for indoors use. Which raises the question, is it a carry case? Or just a grip for tablet use? At a staggering $250, the Grip 3 is very expensive for what appears to be just a simple grip case with a carry handle and not much else. And if one would still most-likely need a separate bag to fully protect their iPad, then could this defeat the entire point of buying such a product as the Colorware Grip 3? We certainly hope not.

The Colorware Grip 3 seems like a good case to buy for certain professionals and companies who seek a premium custom made case. Despite its protability features, the Grip 3 seems like a poor choice for outdoor use. And though low functionality offers little incentive to purchase, the quality and protection in the ColorWare Grip 3 is top rate.
