A simple yet durable book case, Maroo’s leather-crafted Moko for iPad is all about carrying and displaying the tablet – functions it performs quite well indeed. The first design introduced from the Maroo line of tablet cases, this one has remained popular enough Apple tablet users. The first attention-grabber about this case is the leather exterior. The nice high-quality leather tablet cases feels good and looks great. The basic black model upon which this review is based provides an austere, conservative look that makes it appropriate for all occasions. Inside, a couple of huge plusses for displaying the iPad 2 or New iPad 3 may be found. The touted “SG Bumper technology” refers to four tough plastic embedded clips at the corners of the interior to hold that tablet firmly in place. These seem solid enough, but it must be noted that in the test model we received, one of these clips was coming loose. While there was no slippage of my iPad, this could be indicative of a medium-term problem. The embedded magnet enclosures appear sturdy enough for longer-term use, however. The interior cover includes a convenient hand strap , allowing for one-hand display of the screen while the iPad is held in place by the SG Bumper clips and extra straps at the corners; the cover may be folded out to provide a standwith the two standard viewing angles. All in all, the Moko case for iPad is a solid entry into the tablet case market. A smart choice for display-first users.
