Calling All iPhone Photographers! Enter the 10 Annual IPPAWARDS Now

Are you a professional or amatuer photogrpaher who uses their iPhone or iPad as their camera of choice? Then you should enter the IPPAWARDS (iPhone Photography Awards) 10 Annual photography competition.

This competition is the first of its kinds and honors photographers from across the globe, for their creativity and ability to take beautiful photographs using only an iPhone or iPad.

Last year’s grand prize winner was Siyuan Niu of China, who won for his photo, “Man and the Eagle.” Thousands of photos are submitted each year and prizes are handed out in a number of categories including architecture, children, food and lifestyle. You can see all of the 2016 honorees here.

According to IPPAWARDS website the requirements for entering are as follows, “All images must be taken with an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. The photos should not be altered in any desktop image processing program such as Photoshop. It is OK to use any IOS apps. The use of any iPhone is permissible. iPhone add-on lenses can be used. In some cases we may ask the original image to verify that it’s taken with an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. The photos that can not be verified are disqualified. The submissions must be in the original size or not smaller than 1000 pixels in either height or width.”

Entries should be submitted no later than March 31, 2017. An entry fees apply for all qualified photos and are as follows:

• 1 image:$3.50
• 3 images:$7.50
• 5 images:$15.50
• 10 images:$27.50
• 15 images:$35.50
• 20 images:$50.00
• 25 images:$57.50

There is no limit to the amount of entries a single participant can enter, however IPPAWARDS suggests only submitting your best ones.

A 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner is selected in each category as well as an overall grand prize winner. Prizes include gold bars for the top winner in each category, palladium bars for the 2nd and 3rd place winners, as well as certificates for all the winners. The grand prize winners will receive a prize that has yet to be determined.
