“It’s not a purse, it’s a European carry-all!” Alright, I know only the truest fans of the Seinfeld sitcom will appreciate that pun, but you don’t need to be one to appreciate what this business tablet case can do to keep you well-prepared and looking sharp. The case is designed as a two-piece organizer, one half being a compartment for the iPad 2 or New iPad 3, and the other, an organizer section featuring cell phone pocket, card holder, pen loops and two extra pockets for storing other accessories.

Opening like a book journal, the iPad slides into a nice, snug-fitting leather bezel frame with small Velcro-tab fastener. Once enclosed, the case is about 1 ½ inch thick and feels a bit weighted before adding any items to the organizer pouch. Concerns for increased bulk and weight could leave some longing for a handle feature, but just the same, the soft leather is easy to grip and comfortable to hold.

As a design that targets the busy, modern businessman, I think magnets, or an extra zipper, would be more efficient than the strap/loop fastener. Even with nimble fingers, I had some trouble trying to set-up the stand feature for typing work mode. This mechanism can also prevent you from quickly retrieving the contents stored in the pouch, like say, your ringing cell phone or business card. Only half the speaker grill sticks out of the cutout, but I didn’t notice any muzzled sound. As for the other cutouts, all the iPad’s ports, buttons and camera align perfectly. Already satisfied with its many great functions, I almost overlooked the small magnet hidden behind the padded interior fold, which is there to support your device’s sleep/wake feature.
