Cooper Toons Apple iPad / 10” Tablet Sleeve review

The Cooper Toons sleeve is made of a nice, soft, odorless fleece fabric that will protect any iPad (or most 10” tablets) against everyday bumps and bruises. Parents may worry about the fact that unlike play cases, the Toons case does not guarantee reliable drop protection. But the vivid, colorful eye-catching designs are almost certainly guaranteed to bring a smile to a child’s face.

Overview

The Toons series cases by Cooper provide a good fit for full-sized Apple iPads and most 10” tablets. There is even enough extra wiggle room inside to accommodate an iPad already fitted with a smart cover or encased in a slim folio. Most children’s cases are especially concerned with drop protection, providing over-sized elements that guard against the almost inevitable drops while the device is in use. Since the Toons models are sleeves, they protect only against drops that occur when the iPad is not being used, and even then only to a moderate extent. So the wow-factor is a positive only as a visual cue, and not in the case of an accidental fall to the ground. The plush fleece fabric material can easily collect dirt and dust. But a wash in mild soapy water may likely remedy this situation. On the plus side, the cases are super lightweight and include a heavy dose of playful character, which is something not to be frowned upon in today’s world.
