Krusell Luna HTC Flyer Folio review

The Luna folio tablet case by Krusell is made of faux-leather with a soft felt interior, combining to protect your HTC Flyer from normal everyday wear and tear. This design is intended to give you clear access and use of all your device’s controls/functions, and also features a strap for holding its digital pen, as well as a tablet stand that provides two angles for browsing/viewing purposes.

Krusell has created the “Luna” folio case for several tablets, including this design for the HTC Flyer, which is intended to form-fit the device and keep it completely useful while encased. However, its intended design and actual performance are two separate things. This design does not compensated for the Flyer’s curvature, so once I was able to squeeze the device into the top-loading bezel frame, the case looses its trim shape. The resulting awkward fit prevents the rear-facing camera from aligning properly to the cutout, which is rather surprising considering how large this piercing is. There is strap on the side for holding the digital pen, but I wish this feature were located on the inside to avoid dangling on the exterior and potentially falling out/loosing it during transport. Although the device is not perfectly form-fitted, most of its controls and functions are still easily accessible, and the tablet stand feature also works well for browsing and viewing.

Overall: POOR

Though the Luna showed some promise from the start, the poor device fit quickly changed that hopeful perspective. Unlike some other Krusell tablet cases, this is not one that we are confident to recommend (at least until the major design flaw is corrected).
