Bluelounge Bonobo Messenger Bag Small (11-15") review

Bluelounge proves itself to be as conscious of the environment as it is about tablet and laptop owners with its Bonobo eco-friendly messenger bag. Not only is this is an incredibly spacious and lightweight example of the messenger bag genre, it’s also crafted from 100% recycled PET material. Again, who’d have thought plastic bottles could ever look or feel this good?

The Bluelounge Bonobo Messenger Bag is outwardly a typical example in the case style. Designed for easy carrying of and access to a laptop and/or tablet (not to mention lots of accessories or other items), this messenger bag succeeds well in its given function.

The front flap opens and closes by way of Velcro fasteners, and at the top of this flap is a zippered pocket that is spacious enough to hold any number of related accessories. Opening up the flap reveals two more pockets, one of them wire mesh. Both are useful for storing smaller items and/or folded documents. This small model is designed to easily hold any laptop or tablet between 11" to 15” in size (or smaller of course), plus leave space for even more stuff! Nothing straps down the device inside, but the bag closes up firmly enough to prevent a laptop moving around too much.

As a bag meant to be carried, the Bluelounge Bonobo Messenger Bag includes an ergonomically-fit shoulder strap that is remarkably comfortable. The sandblasted aluminum buckles are a bit bulky and noticeable, but those putting this messenger bag through the paces will certainly appreciate their durability. And the entire recycled-material exterior is overlaid with a weatherproofing coating to help resist moisture and the like.
