The iPad Mini 2 has finally received its very own case from Saddleback Leather – the iPad Mini Retina Case. The latest folio tablet case is made from the sturdiest leather ensuring great protection. However, the slim profile manages to avoid adding unnecessary bulk. There’s a classic strap lock to keep the case securely shut when not in use. The tablet is safe inside the case thanks to dual-point mounting, but can be easily removed with the help of a leather “bookmark”. All ports and buttons of the case are open to free access and there’s an integrated stand feature to provide several viewing angles.

Here’s how the makers describe their inspiration:
A few years back, Suzette and I hiked up to the head of a lake, hopped into a canoe and paddled our way as close as we could to the massive glacier coming down the mountain. It was more than inspiring and a great way to celebrate our 3rd anniversary.
So when we got back to the little Alaskan town, we decided to do a little shopping in the shops along their cool little boardwalk. One of the first shops we walked into was my favorite kind. It was full of locally handmade things. And that’s where I saw it. A clutch purse with a hand strap on one side. I picked it up and immediately called Suzette over. I didn’t know what I would ever use this idea for, but I knew I just had to use it somehow. To not would be to deprive the world of joy. Little did I know what Apple had planned, but sure enough, it couldn’t have been used on a better design. I think you’re really going to like this hand strap.
