Custom or personalized cases are designed to give the tablet case a distinctive individual look, usually at just slightly over the regular price. Such cases are often touted for special occasion gift-giving and may be designed to the user's specifications.

Some custom cases may start from simple options such as choice of color and/or standard three-letter monogram which can be embossed into the cover or affixed on top with a sheen. The options can extend into personalized graphics and text such as the owner's name, as in the below-illustrated examples. Leather is the most popular choice for the more traditional personalization, but nearly any material may be used in such tablet cases.
