Hex was founded in 2010 as a division of August Accessories, a family business in Southern California known for its design, development and manufacturing of innovative fashion accessories. HEX continues such traditions, but with a focus on building products that specifically serve electronic devices. Their ultimate goal is to connect technology with fashion by producing unique and attractive solutions to be paired with new gadgets.

Hex offers a number of backpacks, handbags, sleeves and totes for use with laptops, and two within the collection are specifically designed to accommodate an iPad/iPad 2. “The Fleet” and “The Recon” ($79.95 ea.) are tablet messenger bags, both available in 13” and 15” sizes. In addition to fitting a laptop, the iPad or iPad2 will fit in a frame underneath the padded, fleece-lined front flap, giving you quick/easy access while on the move.

What we see in “The Fleet” and “The Recon” is outstanding function, and great modern looks to transport electronic devices from home to the café, the office and back. These two tablet bags have us excited for more! Still, we like many young hip, trendy gadget-geeks and/or business professionals to buy Hex iPad cases.
